Cheryl is easily one of the most well known people in Britain. She usually provides vocals for her girl-group Girls Aloud but as the girls take a break, Cheryl Cole is launching her solo career and judging on X Factor.01 - 3 Words Feat Will.i.am : When i first heard this is thought the song was weak, too simple and a forgetabble song. I listened to it a few times after to find its actually ok. After a good couple listens it becomes quite addictive. Not the worst but Not the best. Its also going to be her second single.
02. Parachute : After a few listens you really get quite addicted ... "I dont need a parachute baby if i got you, baby if i got you i don't need a parachute" ... you'll find yourself humming it all the time.
03: Heaven feat Will.I.Am : Sounds like it should be on a Holiday Commercial? Hmmm....possibly this song based on rememberability (yeah i know it isn't a word but you get the point) this is similar to Parachute as you just randomly start humming and singing "My heavens with you, you,you,you". Will.I.Am's rap makes this song extra special and you may find yourself attempting to rap along with him!
04.Fight for This Love : Judging by it being the FASTEST SELLING SINGLE in the uk this year it must be good. Well its not good, its amazing! All though fighting never helps anything, its a cracking song! One of my favorites of 2009!
05. Rain On Me : One of cheryls best and understated songs, not many people comment on this song, but its definatley one of my favorites, and theirs also a guest vocal that sounds a bit like Justin Timberlake but ive been told it definatley isnt him. I would love this to be a single!
06.Make Me Cry : "If you're trying to hurt me like i hurt you then you win and if you're trying to love my like i love you then we win and if you're trying to finish what we started then we lost the love" Such a great opener to the song ... well technincaly it isnt the opener theirs an annoying dit dotty noise for about 16seconds at the begining of the song, but thats what fast forward is for. Love this song, its simple like 3 words but i like it better.
07. Happy Hour : Wow! i never get tired of this song. This song is about cheryl not being happy when shes without a drink, but shes no alcholic she is implying that her boyfriend (or ex) is her happy hour and shes only happy when she can drink him up. This song shows quite a soulful side to Cheryl
08. Stand Up : Very danceable, which i think is what she wanted for this track. Great dance song. Nothing more to say.
09. Don't Talk About This Love : This song is ok (or under), this song is quite bland compared to Stand Up, its like she went to the extreme of a dance song and then to a slow ballad, wrongly placed i think, but this is one of the songs that i skip
10. Boy Like You Feat Will.I.Am : I also skip this song, compared to "Make me Cry" this is weak, she has got good vocals but the lyrics arent that good and dont go amazingly well with the backing track
11. Heartbreaker (Will.I.Am feat Cheryl Cole) : I still dont understand why she put this song on her album as she says limited words but nevertheless it is a great song!
